In Loving Memory of Andy (Male Moluccan Cockatoo)

Andy passed away at 40 years old in January 2022. Although he was probably once very loved, in the years prior to coming to EAST he had a rough go of it. He was neglected when his people passed away then sold to a breeder. When he would not breed, they were just looking to get rid of him. Luckily one of my rescue friends found out and we got him out of there.

Andy was very loved by the EAST family for the 15 years he lived with us. He was super shy and not really hands on, but he was also very sweet. Sue was so excited to be his sponsor and get to know him better as such a gentle soul. Sue will continue to provide sponsorship of the other birds in the sanctuary in Andy’s name.
