Exotic Avian Sanctuary of Tennesee (EAST) provides a safe haven and optimal care for parrots whose owners can no longer care for them, through adoption or permanent sanctuary.

There is a great need to conserve these beautiful birds in their natural habitats. EAST supports wild parrot conservation organizations and promotes education on all issues of avian welfare. We maintain that all captive breeding contributes to the displacement and suffering of captive birds.

Tens of thousands of parrots are in need of rescue each year and we are committed to raising public awareness of the tragedies of captive overpopulation. We believe that they, and all wild animals, should be free.
